GUWAHATI: In view of the increased prices of vegetables in Guwahati, officials from the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs departments of the Kamrup (metro) district visited several markets in Guwahati. These officials took stock of the quality and cost of multiple items across the city. They also studied the price difference between the markets and ordered the sellers not to charge exorbitant rates.
