GUWAHATI: The Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) informed all concerned that the filling up of examination forms for taking the HSLC (High School Leaving Certificate) compartmental examinations 2023 would be from June 1 to June 10, 2023, only in online mode through the official website sebaonline.org.
In its notification, the Secretary of SEBA said that the Board decided to hold the Compartmental Examination of the HSLC Examination, 2023, for those candidates who could not come out successful in the HSLC Examination, 2023, but failed in a maximum of three (some selected) subjects only and obtained a minimum of 170 marks in aggregate. "They will be eligible to appear in the Compartmental Examination by chance. The candidate appearing in the comparative examination has to secure a minimum of 30% marks in the subjects he appears in, and his total marks must be 180 or above to come out successful. All successful candidates will be eligible to take admission in higher classes in the same academic year," the notification said. If such candidates cannot come out successful in the Compartmental Examination, 2023 (single chance), they shall have to take readmission in their respective schools to appear again as regular candidates, if so desired.
The Board spelt out the following points to take note of by the candidates carefully:
(i) The Compartmental Examination, 2023 (single chance) will commence from the date to be notified.
(ii) The examination fees of Rs 350 shall have to be paid for each subject through the system-generated challan of Assam Cooperative Apex Bank Ltd. and Rs 150 as centre fees per student. The amount has to be paid by June 15, 2023.
(iii) The successful candidates will get a composite fresh mark sheet incorporating the marks obtained by them in the Compartmental examination.
