GUWAHATI: Assam State Rural Livelihoods Mission (ASRLM) has marked a significant achievement post COVID-19 lockdown when 72 female candidates trained under the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) are going for placement in renowned garment manufacturing units in Tamil Nadu.
These 72 Assamese girls completed three-month training of Sewing Machine Operators under M/S Wasir Advisor Pvt. Ltd. before the COVID 19 lockdown. The candidates from five batches were from both Guwahati and TAssam State Rural Livelihoods Mission (ASRLMezpur centres, a press release said.
