Pramod Boro to lead BTC, says Ranjeet Kumar Dass

GUWAHATI: State BJP president Ranjeet Kumar Dass has expressed satisfaction over the results of the BTC elections announced yesterday.

In a press release issued to the media, Dass termed this victory as a victory of the people, a victory for all activists. He said that this victory was possible due to the tireless efforts of the people of the BTR and the untiring efforts of all activists. He gave his heartfelt thanks and gratitude to all, especially Chief Minister SarbanandaSonowal, NEDA convener Dr. HimantaBishwa Sharma, BJP's national general secretary Dilip Saikia and Minister-in-charge of BTC elections BhabeshKalita.

He said that the 3.5 million people in the BTR have changed their mind set at long last. He strongly believes that the mandate of the people in the BTAD is in the interest of change, and development will indeed open a new horizon in the days to come.

It was decided that a coalition government comprising the UPPL, BJP and the GSP would be formed to provide services to the people with honesty and sincerity. UPPL president Pramod Baro has been nominated as the new chief of the BTC, the release added.
