GUWAHATI: Prashanta Sarma of Sivsagar will be conferred with the Swabhab Shilpi Amulya Kakati Memorial Award, declared the All Guwahati Students' Union and Student-Artiste Writers' Welfare Trust on Sunday.
Artistes who have culturally contributed have been conferred with this award. Tapan Das, Rafikul Hussain, Dr Dilip Kumar Dutta, Traloikya Duttam, Sebabrata Baruah, Moni Das and various others have been conferred with this award.
This year the award function will held on February 9 at Vivekananda Centre, Uzanbazar. Kanak Chandra Das was conferred with this award before Prashanta Sarma. The award will carry a memento along with cash prize, where the memento will be sculpted by Biren Singha.
