GUWAHATI: The Pratibandhi Suraksha Sangstha, Assam (PSSA) has threatened the Social Welfare Department and Gauhati University (GU) that it they fail to issue admit cards for the recruitment examinations of 511 fourth grade posts in the next 24 hours, it would go for any kind of protest programme on Monday.

Addressing the media here on Saturday, PSSA secretary Nripen Malakar said, "On February 8, 2021 we, 13 bodies of divyangs, had a meeting with the Social Welfare department and GU when GU's Joint Registrar (administration) gave us a written assurance that the candidates' admit cards will be downloadable within the next three days. However, five days have already elapsed, but admit cards haven't been made available. Since divyangs have to face uncertainty on their recruitments, we've no reasons to let the department and GU to stay in peace."
