Presiding & polling officials' training for TAC election commences

The training of presiding and polling officials who will be deployed in polling booths for the Tiwa Autonomous Council election kicked off on Tuesday.

GUWAHATI: The training of presiding and polling officials who will be deployed in polling booths for the Tiwa Autonomous Council election kicked off on Tuesday.

The polls will be held on December 17 across six constituencies in 100 polling booths.

The training programme for the officials is being conducted at the Cotton Collegiate Government H.S. School. According to reports, 132 presiding officials and 132 polling officials will be deployed for their polling duties.

On Wednesday, the second and third phase of the training will start. On December 14, the final training of the presiding and polling officials will be held.

Meanwhile, a meeting was conducted at the Kamrup Metro Deputy Commissioner's Office chaired by DC Biswajit Pegu where he notified the Asha Workers about their roles and responsibilities during the polls.
