Prices of all essential commodities have gone up in Guwahati.

Essential Items Prices in Guwahati City: Prices of all essential commodities have gone up in Guwahati. While the retailers say that they have no way out but to sell at higher as the wholesalers charge more than before, the wholesalers blame it on the hike in prices at the sources.

Common gram that was sold at Rs 54 per kg earlier by wholesalers is sold at Rs 60 per kg now. The commodity is sold at Rs 110 per kg now by the retailers. Kabuli gram was sold at Rs 76 per kg earlier in the wholesale market. Now it is sold at Rs 88 per kg by the wholesalers. This is sold at Rs 110 by the retailers.

The wholesale price of moong dal has also gone up from Rs 103 to Rs 110 now. This is sold at Rs 120 per kg against Rs 115 earlier by the retailers. Masur dal (big) is sold at Rs 84 per kg now against Rs 72 earlier by wholesalers. This is sold at Rs 100 by retailers against Rs 95 earlier. Masur dal (small) is sold at Rs 120 per kg by the retailers.

Wholesalers sell mustard oil at Rs 170 per litre against Rs 160 earlier. It is sold now at Rs 190 per litre by retailers against Rs 180 earlier. Mustard oil refined is sold at Rs 200 per litre by retailers.

Sugar is sold at Rs 49 per kg by wholesalers against Rs 37 earlier. It is sold at Rs 55 per kg now. Likewise, the price of rice is also up by Rs 5 per kg.
