GUWAHATI: The prices of essential food items in the state saw another increase on Saturday, with prices of rice, pulses, and edible oil seeing another increase. Toor dal has seen the highest increase, reaching Rs 160 from Rs 120. Black dal and mustard oil have seen a hike of Rs 10. Even the price of sugar has been hiked in this wave of inflation. Following the hike in the prices of vegetables, the hike in the prices of pulses and grains has left the citizens in despair.
