GUWAHATI: "The primary objective of education is to impart moral and social values to students which will help them in becoming responsible citizens and in building a knowledge-based vibrant society," said State Education Minister Dr Ranoj Pegu. He was attending the valedictory session of the three-day training programme on value-based education organized for the educators of Adarsha Vidyalayas of the State from August 19 in the city by Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan and Sarba Siksha Assam in collaboration with Chinmaya Mission.

The Education Minister urged all the participants to dissimenate all the positive things they had learned throughout this programme to their students which would definitely help them in building their future life.

A total of 188 educators participated in this training programme. The minister also distributed certificates to the participants of this training programme. In today's programme, Adviser to the Education Department, Dr Nanigopal Mahanta, Chancellor of Royal Global University, Dr M K Chaudhuri, MD Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan, Dhruva Jyoti Bora and Swami Atulananda were also present.
