Govt Should Prioritise COVID Vaccination Among Employees Working Restlessly: CCoEEEP

The co-ordination committee of Electricity Employees, Engineers & Pensioners (CCoEEEP) expresses its concern for not recognising the Electricity employee and its engineers as Front Line Workers and Corona Warriors despite discharging relentless service with life risk for providing uninterrupted power supply to all concern sectors dealing with Covid-19 crisis.

Further the Joint Convener of CCoEEEP, Dipak Kr Saha alleged that despite of direction from the Ministry of Power to all State government to give first priority for immunisation of Covid Vaccine to the electricity employees and engineers which is not properly implemented in State, which resulted in several casualties and numerous employees severely infected.

"We urge that the state govt to take immediate action to covid-19 immunisation vaccine on top priority and declare Electricity Employees & Engineers as Front Line Workers & Corona Warriors," said Dipak Kr Saha. Further the CCoEEEP also demanded a compensation of Rs 50 lakh to the family of the employees have expired due to Covid-19 ailment.
