GUWAHATI: The Chief Minister's Special Vigilance Cell has begun preliminary probe into the allegation of fund misappropriation in the name of garbage disposal and silting by the Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC). Sources said that a team of the CM's Special Vigilance Cell reached the GMC office on Tuesday and verified some documents. However, the CM's Special Vigilance Cell remains tight-lipped about the whole investigation.
