GUWAHATI: The Greater Guwahati Qureshi Meat Association has a fixed price of mutton for Magh Bihu at Rs 650 per kg. The price of meat will go up by Rs 50-100 on the occasion of Magh Bihu in the city. The association has allowed the price of mutton to be fixed at Rs 650 per kg on the occasion of Magh Bihu. However, this hike in price will only be followed for a single day on January 14. The association has also said that charging overprice during this period is unfair for the customers and that’s why they have fixed the price at Rs 650 and have also asked the other meat sellers to stick to it. Besides that the prices of fish and chicken are also likely to rise for the Magh Bihu.
