Railway Protection Force of NF Railway rescue 20 people including minors

GUWAHATI: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) of N. F. Railway successfully rescued 20 people, including 17 minors, two women, and a boy, during different checks and drives conducted from July 22 to July 28 at different trains and railway stations over N. F. Railway. The RPF also apprehended three people involved in human trafficking. The rescued persons were later handed over to the respective Child Line/NGOs, parents, or Government Railway Police (GRP) for safe custody and further course of action. In an incident on July 24, the RPF of Kishanganj, jointly with the representatives of Bachpan Bachao Andolan, conducted checking at Kishanganj railway station. During the check, they apprehended three child traffickers and rescued three minor boys. Later, the apprehended traffickers, along with the minor boys, were handed over to OC/GRP/Kishanganj for further course of action. In a recent incident on July 27, the RPF Meri Saheli team of Guwahati, during checking at the Guwahati railway station, rescued one runaway woman. Later, the rescued woman was handed over to the Superintendent of Shakti Sadar, Guwahati, for safe custody, stated a press release.
