GUWAHATI: The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) at Borjhar on Friday predicted that rainfall in Assam and other NE States will continue till October 27.

"The depression over Northwest Bay of Bengal off the Odisha coast has moved north-northeastwards with a speed of 24 km per hour. As a result heavy to moderate rainfall will continue to pour in Assam and other NE States till October 27," a source in RMC said. The continuous rainfall will result in sharp decline of the day temperatures during the Durga Puja festival.

The RMC predicted that Guwahati and adjoining areas will have a cloudy sky with a few spells of moderate rainfalls.
