Reiterating the pivotal role played by the educators, who bear the responsibility of moulding the nation's future by imparting the essence of value-based education to their students, the Governor said that commitment and dedication of the teachers hold the key in improving the education landscape of the state.

Delving into India’s ageless knowledge and wisdom, the Governor extolled the historical legacy of Bharat, which has been renowned since time immemorial for its scholarly pursuits. The nation has been an envy to the world due to its robust knowledge ecosystem, exemplified by institutions like Nalanda, Taxila and others. These institutions attracted eager scholars from every corner of the globe to Bharat. The Governor further emphasized that education should not merely be an acquisition of knowledge but a nurturing ground for honing essential skills and fostering development. He observed that, NEP 2020 places a significant emphasis on skill-based education, thereby underscoring the importance of educators in equipping their students with the 21st century specific technical knowledge. He also reiterated on the need of empowering the students to become creators of employment opportunities.
