There are 42 warehouses in various districts of Assam under ASWC, many of which are in profit while some are suffering severe losses. Bora asked to figure out the cause behind the losses. “In Bongaigaon, Jorhat and Barpeta, the demand of warehouses are higher. We will intimate the government for land provision so that new warehouses can be erected”, Bora said. Instead of solving the older irregularities, steps should be implemented so that the problem is resolved and further issues are avoided.”
