GUWAHATI: An electric vehicle rally was taken out on Thursday as part of Saksham 2023 at the Indian Oil AOD State Office, Sector III, in Guwahati to create awareness on alternative energy vehicles. G. Ramesh, State Level Coordinator for the Oil Industry and Executive Director and State Head, IOCL, flagged off the rally from the Indian Oil AOD State Office in the presence of all departmental HODs. E-vehicles from Hyundai, Morris Garages, and Mahindra joined the rally. The rally started from Sector III towards VIP Road and finally ended at Ganeshguri. The special mass awareness drive for the conservation of petroleum products, named Sanrakshan Kshamta Mahotsav or Saksham in short, was formally launched in true spirit for the State of Assam on April 24, 2023, at Guwahati. The Governor of Assam participated as Chief Guest in the Inaugural Function in Guwahati. The Saksham 2023 has been scheduled for April 24–May 8, 2023.
