GUWAHATI: Sangini Saheli, a women welfare initiative, along with the aid of Indian Revenue Service Officers (IRS), distributed sanitary napkins at the Sarusajai Quarantine Centre, Guwahati recently.

The organization, headed by Priyal Bharadwaj, a Delhi-based Fashion Designer, has been working to create awareness among the migrant, needy and women belonging to humble backgrounds across 12 States in the country since the outbreak of COVID-19.

Continuing with its efforts to provide relief materials to the ones trying to cope with the pandemic, Sangini Saheli handed over the sanitary napkins for the women and girls stationed at the Sarusajai Quarantine Centre with the help of Indian Revenue Service Officers of Guwahati. This noble gesture has been initiated by IRS, Aman Preet, currently posted in New Delhi, as Joint Commissioner Income Tax. The Assistant Commissioner Income Tax, Priyanka, expressed her gratitude to the Kamrup Metro District Administration for extending its support to the distribution.
