GUWAHATI: Five students of Sankardev Shishu Vidya Niketans, under Shishu Shiksha Samiti, Assam, affiliated to Vidya Bharati Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Sansthan, have been able to bag positions in the HSLC, exam, 2022. This has brought a ray of hope to the teachers, parents, guardians and students after nearly two years of academic disruption due to the COVID pandemic.
According to a press statement, this year Sushri Bidisha Nath, a student of Shankardev Vidya Niketan, Charaibahi secured 9th rank, Kaustav Jyoti Nath, a student of Shankardev Vidya Niketan, Morigaon, Anurag Bora, a student of Shankardev Vidya Niketan Bongaon, Majuli, Dibyjyoti Lahkar and Dhritismita Deka, students of Shankardev Shishu Niketan and Debendra Chandraprabha Vidya Niketan, Nalbari, secured the 10th position.
These schools are run by Vidya Bharati. Dibyajyoti Mahanta, president, Shishu Shiksha Samiti Assam, Kulendra Kumar Bhagawati, secretary, Shishu Shiksha Samiti, Assam, congratulated all the position holders and all students for their excellent performance despite the difficulties they faced during the last two years.
This year, 9,692 students of Vidya Bharati appeared in the HSLC exam, out of which 1,099 obtained distinction, 1,418 got stars marks, 5,291 students secured first division, 2,847 students were placed in the second division and 698 students were placed in the third division. The pass percentage is 100 per cent for 124 Sankardev Shishu Niketans.
