Sarbananda Sonowal addresses Rozgar Mela; 192 candidates given appointment letters

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the Rozgar Mela and distributed about 51,000 appointment letters to newly-inducted recruits via video conferencing on Tuesday.

 GUWAHATI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the Rozgar Mela and distributed about 51,000 appointment letters to newly-inducted recruits via video conferencing on Tuesday. The recruits, selected from across the country will be joining the government in various Ministries/Departments including Department of Posts, Indian Audit & Accounts Department, Department of Atomic Energy, Department of Revenue, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare among others. The Rozgar Mela took place at 46 locations across the country.

Addressing the Rozgar Mela in Guwahati, Union Minister of Ports, Shipping & Waterways and Ayush, Sarbananda Sonowal said, “India is standing at the cusp of greatness, as it continues to break shackles of its past economic, social and political depredation. It attempts to find itself a new, revitalized identity of a Bharat which is strong, confident, proud, considerate and inclusive. India has become the youngest talent factory in the world - the workforce of the world. To harness India’s rich talent pool, the government is working on different talent enriching programmes to incubate talent to become a reckoning force in the march towards an Atmanirbhar Bharat. Start Up India, Digital India, PM Vishwakarma, Skill India Mission, Make In India, PM Mudra Yojna, Rozgar Mela and many more are aimed at enabling our youth to commit to the cause of nation building.”

The Rozgar Mela was held at 46 locations across the country. The Rozgar Mela is a step towards fulfilling the Prime Minister’s commitment to accord the highest priority to employment generation. The Rozgar Mela is expected to act as a catalyst in further employment generation and provide meaningful opportunities to the youth for their empowerment and participation in national development, stated a press release.
