SEBA declared HSLC compartmental examination results; Pass percentage 41.26

GUWAHATI: The Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) declared the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) compartmental examination results on Wednesday. A total of 50,471 students applied for the examinations, of which 49,693 appeared. A total of 20,505 students cleared the examination, with a pass percentage of 41.26.

A total of 8,144 male candidates passed, of whom 51 secured first division, 2466 secured second division, and 5627 secured third division. The pass percentage for male candidates is 36.30.

On the other hand, 12361 female candidates passed the examination, 51 of whom secured first division, 3592 secured second division, and 8718 secured third division. The pass percentage for female candidates is 45.34.

A total of 22,433 male and 27,260 female candidates appeared in the exanimation. As per the results, 778 candidates did not appear for the examination, and 12 candidates were expelled during the examination for indulging in copying or resorting to unfair means during the examination.

Moreover, two candidates, Neha Mahanta from Shankardev Shishu Niketan, Baghmara in Barpeta district, and Jessika Mesbin from Shankardev Shishu Niketan, Morua from Nalbari, secured the 10th position after the reexamination of the answer scripts of the HSLC examination 2023. Both of them got a total score of 585.

14 candidates' results were withheld during the last results of the HSLC examination, 2023. As per the report of the withheld clearance committee, the results of three candidates were declared on Wednesday. All three secured the second division.
