GUWAHATI: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) has started its second round of investigations into their ongoing scrutiny of the selection process of government officers under the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC).

After grilling several APSC officers in different ranks, the SIT has moved to the next level of the investigation. The officials have collected samples of their handwriting and signatures for forensic investigations. It was mentioned that the SIT is looking into possible glitches in the examination for several other officials of the 2013-14 batch, and if they find any evidence, proper action will be initiated against them as well. As of now, a list of more than 30 names has come under the radar of the investigators.

It remains to be seen what action will be taken against the officials. Although some of them remain suspended as of date, a few of them were allowed to continue by the officials after questioning.
