Shok Divas observed at Janata Bhawan premises

GUWAHATI: To mourn the tragic death of innocent children and other people killed in a bomb blast while attending the Independence Day celebration held in 2004 in Dhemaji, Shok Divas was observed on Monday at the Janata Bhawan premises. Maninder Singh, Additional Chief Secretary to the Government of Assam administered the oath of Shok Divas among the officers and staff of Janata Bhawan. Through the oath, everyone pledged to stand firmly against all acts of terrorism and militant violence, while beholding the non-violent principles of the nation.

Dr. M. Angamuthu, Commissioner & Secretary to the Government of Assam, GAD etc. Departments and Preetom Saikia, Commissioner & Secretary to the Government of Assam, Elementary Education etc. Departments along with many other senior government officials were present on the occasion.
