GUWAHATI: In another incident of bag-snatching in the city, motorcycle-borne miscreants snatched a bag containing Rs 5 lakh from a lady in the Magazine are of Pathar Quarry here on Wednesday.
According to police sources, the victim, Jaya Rajkhowa had withdrawn the money from the SBI's Satgaon branch and travelled to Satgaon on a Magic vehicle. The snatchers struck after she got down at the Magazine area, the sources said.
The two helmet-wearing thieves then fled towards the Six Mile area.
The victim has lodged an FIR at the Noonmati Police Station.
