Guwahati: The Kamrup Superintendent of Police, Parthasarathi Mahanta was awarded the President’s Police Medal for Meritorious Service today at the Assam Police Day at 4th Assam Police Battalion in Guwahati.
Notably, the official announcement will be made on the occasion of Independence Day this year in August.
SP Parthasarathi Mahanta, currently serving as Superintendent of Police, Kamrup has been conferred President’s Police Medal for Meritorious Service, as announced by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India.
SP Mahanta has been chosen for the prestigious award for his effective controlling of crime in the district and maintaining law and order. He is a champion of the cause of police- public relations and has been relentlessly working towards bridging the gap between police and public.
He has been delivering meritorious Service service to society while creating smooth communication between the police department and the public throughout the district.
