Special Cleanliness Drive Conducted in Navagraha

A special cleanliness drive was conducted by the Division-2 of GMC (Guwahati Municipal Corporation) in the Navagraha Temple area and along the Navagraha Temple Road on Thursday.

GUWAHATI: A special cleanliness drive was conducted by the Division-2 of GMC (Guwahati Municipal Corporation) in the Navagraha Temple area and along the Navagraha Temple Road on Thursday.

This was informed by the media cell of the Guwahati Municipality Corporation in a press release here on Thursday.

The cleaniness drive started from the M.C. Road intersection point to Navagraha Mandir around 9 am and continued till 1 pm.

The team consisted of 60 field workers, three flying squads in co-operation with officials of APWD and NGOs from wards no 11 and 12. The team was led by GMC Executive Engineer Khadyut Gogoi.

During the process, natural and habitual wastes accumulated at the roadside were removed by the team of workers. The GMC used excavators, dumpers, and autotippers in the operation.
