STAFF REPORTER
GUWAHATI: A special drive for admissions for Undergraduate (UG) programmes has been started from Wednesday in regards to the rising demands for admissions from students and colleges. After the completion of spot admission to the UG programmes, the Director of Higher Education (DHE) has given this special opportunity.
There are certain guidelines regarding the UG admissions through a special drive that the students have to follow while applying for the programmes: The admission process initiated during spot admissions may be processed by July 27 at midnight. Admissions may be done or continued by Colleges and Universities offering UG programmes to fill their vacancies. However, such seats may be filled only by fresh applications from applicants who are not yet admitted to any institution. Those admissions will not have options for cancellation thereafter.
The already registered applicant who has not yet secured admission in any programme at an institution need not register again but fill out a fresh application, generating a form number, provided they have not exhausted their 10 options. If the applicant has exhausted all 10 options, he or she may choose to edit any one of the already submitted applications from his or her portal. Applicants who have not yet registered in the portal may register afresh and apply. However, applicants should refrain from using multiple credentials to create multiple registration numbers. As and when such cases are detected by the system, the second registration will be deemed invalid and the application made through the first registration will be considered. If any seat in any department is yet to be filled, they may proceed accordingly.
