Special Screening of 'Emuthi Puthi' Held On Occasion of International Mother's Day

A special screening of the movie, 'Emuthi Puthi' was organised by Metanormal Motion Pictures on the occasion of International Mother's Day on Sunday, 8th May 2022 at Kanaklal Barua Auditorium (Assam State Museum, Ambari). The screening was held in association with Gauhati Cine Club along with immense help & support from All Women Police Station, Guwahati. 

The event was graced by the presence of over 30 dignitaries and notable women of Assam including Indrani Baruah, DIG, CID, Arunima Bhuyan, ACP Police Reserve, Maini Mahanta (Editor of Nandini Magazine), Bobbeeta Sharma (Media Spokesperson, Congress and film personality) and Monita Borgohain ACS (Secretary, Jyoti Chitraban). Invited members from All Women Police Station Guwahati were felicitated along with executive members of Gauhati Cine Club followed by the screening of the movie which was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

Emuthi Puthi is a comedy-drama that takes the audience on a road trip from Bongaigaon to Majuli while exploring the conflict and adventures of three generations of women from a single-family.

Directed by debutant director Kulanandini Mahanta. The film is produced by Metanormal and Ruhaan Films in association with The Vibe Studio. Emuthi Puthi is written by Bhaskar Hazarika who is well-known for his much-acclaimed previous ventures, Kothanodi and Aamis.

The movie stars Pratibha Choudhury, Neetali Das, and Srishti Sharma in the leading roles. The supporting cast comprises popular actors such as Kenny Basumatary, Chumki Kachari, Monisha Bhuyan, and Rubul Boro.

The movie is all set to hit the theatres on June 17, 2022. Meanwhile, the trailer has been released on social media platforms like YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram.
