Special Task Force arrests two drug peddlers

A team of Special Task Force (STF) Assam, acting on input regarding the illicit sale of narcotics and psychoactive substances (NDPS) in South Salamara, launched an operation to bust the deal by apprehending the drug peddlers.

GUWAHATI: A team of Special Task Force (STF) Assam, acting on input regarding the illicit sale of narcotics and psychoactive substances (NDPS) in South Salamara, launched an operation to bust the deal by apprehending the drug peddlers.

According to sources, the STF team started from Guwahati to Mancachar on September 2 and apprehended two drug peddlers. They are identified as Aziz Miya (32) and Niwar Marak, both from Meghalaya.

Along with selling drugs, the peddlers also steal money under the pretext of delivering drugs. The arrested peddlers have been handed over to the Mancachar Police Station for registration of a case against them.
