GUWAHATI: It has been decided to run one round trip of summer special train between Kanyakumari and Dibrugarh to clear extra rush of passengers. The train will run with fully reserved accommodation for the convenience of the passengers. It has also been decided to restore special train to run as bi-weekly between Alipurduar junction and Delhi from the first week of May. On the other hand, Guwahati – Dibrugarh Town – Guwahati special train will be short terminated at/short originated from Dibrugarh until further advice.

Train No. 05905 Kanyakumari – Dibrugarh Superfast special will leave from Kanyakumari on 24-04-2021 (Saturday) to reach Dibrugarh on the fourth day. In the return direction, Train No. 05906 Dibrugarh - Kanyakumari Superfast Special will leave from Dibrugarh on 28-04-2021 (Wednesday) to reach Kanyakumari on the fourth day. The train will run as per existing timings and stoppages of presently running 05905/05906 Kanyakumari – Dibrugarh – Kanyakumari Superfast special which runs on Thursday from Kanyakumari and on Saturday from Dibrugarh. The train will have AC-3 tier, sleeper class and second class accommodation for passengers.

Train No. 05483 Alipurduar junction – Delhi special will run two days a week – on Tuesday and Saturday w.e.f. 01-05-2021 leaving from Alipurduar junction at 10-30 hours to reach Delhi at 21-45 hours on next day. In the return direction, Train No. 05484 Delhi - Alipurduar junction special will run two days a week – on Monday and Thursday w.e.f. 03-05-2021 leaving from Delhi at 07-35 hours to reach Alipuduar junction at 20-40 hours on next day. The train will have AC-2 tier, AC-3 tier, sleeper class and general second class accommodation for passengers.

Due to COVID-19 related protocols, Train No. 05669/05670 Guwahati – Dibrugarh Town – Guwahati special will be short terminated at/short originated from Dibrugarh and will remain partially cancel between Dibrugarh and Dibrugarh Town w.e.f. 23-04-2021 until further advice.

The details of stoppages and timings of these trains are available on Railway's website and are also being notified in various newspapers and social media platforms of N. F. Railway.

The Railways is following COVID related guidelines issued by respective State governments in various stations. Necessary help is being provided to the Health department of respective states for the testing arrangement of train passengers. Passengers should travel with minimum luggage and wear face covers/masks at the stations and trains during travel. Passengers shall observe social distancing both at the station and on trains. All passengers are also advised to download and use the 'Aarogya Setu' application before undertaking the journey. Railway has also decided to impose a fine on passenger if found violating any COVID related safety guidelines.

On arrival at their destination, the passengers will have to adhere to prevailing health protocols of the destination state. All passengers are requested to co-operate with the railway and respective State government officials in this regard, stated a release.
