GUWAHATI: The state BJP held its extended office-bearers' meeting on Tuesday, on the eve of the executive committee meeting to be held on Wednesday.
The meeting was presided over by state BJP president Bhabesh Kalita, and the party district presidents, general secretary, and districts in charge were also present. State BJP party sources informed that every three months an office-bearers' meeting is conducted, and in view of that, this meeting is organized on the eve of the executive committee meeting.
In the first half of the meeting, the president of the party took stock of the implementation of the resolutions taken in the former executive meetings of the state BJP. The president gave an account of the activities and responsibilities entrusted to the committee in the past three months.
In the second half, the meeting focused on the Lok Sabha elections and asked the office-bearers to highlight the welfare schemes of the centre and state governments to the people.
The executive meeting will be held at Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra on January 10, and it will be attended by the national president, Jagat Prakash Nadda. The State BJP informed that JP Nadda will arrive at LGBI Airport on Tuesday at 9:30 p.m. and will be staying in Koinadhora Guest House. On Wednesday, Nadda will visit the Kamakhya Temple at 9:30 a.m., and at 2:00 p.m., he will participate in the executive meeting at the Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra. Nadda will be welcomed by 10,000 BJP workers from Khanapara to Kalakshetra. He will participate in a crucial meeting with BJP leaders at BJP headquarters. On January 11, Nadda will be heading to Itanagar at 9:00 a.m.
