GUWAHATI: The State BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) on Friday announced its seat-sharing with the AGP (Asom Gana Parishad) for the Tiwa Autonomous Council (TAC) elections. The party said that out of 36 constituencies it will field candidates in 35 constituencies, leaving one for the AGP.

State BJP Tiwa Autonomous Council Election Committee's State convenor MP Horen Singh Bey while addressing the media at the party headquarters here on Friday, expressed confidence that the BJP will be victorious in the forthcoming polls.

"The BJP will win because of the development-oriented works of the Sarbananda Sonowal-led government and the party's strength under the guidance of president Ranjeet Kumar Dass," Bey asserted.

He also announced the final candidate list for the polls. According to the list, women candidates have been given party tickets to contest in six constituencies.
