GUWAHATI: In connection with the Tiwa Autonomous Council Election 2020, Dry Day has been declared in area comprising from Khanapara Flyover to Khetri and from Panikhaiti Railway Crossing to Morigaon District Border under Kamrup Metropolitan District with effect from December 16-17 and on December 19 i.e. the day of counting of votes.
During this period, the possession, distribution, and sale of liquor is completely prohibited. All the wholesale/bonded warehouses, IMFL retail 'OFF' and 'ON' shops including club 'ON', hotel 'ON' and country spirit shops located at abovementioned places will remain closed during this period. Any violation of the above will be dealt into stringent action as per law.
