Teacher Training Programme Under NISHTHA at Cotton University

GUWAHATI: As a part of NISHTHA, National Initiatives for School Heads’ and Teachers’ Holistic Advancement, a five -day state level integrated teacher training programme for 1255 Key Resource Persons (KRPs) and 251 State Resource Persons (SRPs) in different batches has been started from Thursday, 2019 at Cotton University, Guwahati.

NISHTHA is a Centrally Sponsored capacity building programme for teachers and school Heads/ Principals at the elementary level under Samagra Shiksha launched by the Department of School Education and Literacy, MHRD, Govt. of India with a National Mission to improve learning outcomes of the students.This massive Integrated Teacher Training is targeting to train 42 lakh elementary teachers of the entire nation which is the world’s largest teachers’ training of its kind. For this integrated teacher training , modules have been developed by NCERT, New Delhi and SCERT, Assam has adapted the modules and translated into different regional languages. In Assam, all the elementary school heads/ principals and teachers will be trained under this NISHTHA programme at the block level by the KRPs and SRPs.
