GUWAHATI: A truck belonging to the Indian Armed Forces met with an accident near Sonapur near the city of Guwahati on the morning of December 22, Thursday.
The vehicle toppled over and managed to close one lane of the highway completely, but the highway was completely closed near the accident site. No details have been revealed about any injury or damage due to the accident.
A barricade has been created at a distance of 500 meters by the forces and no people including Assam Police personnel were allowed to enter that radius. Armed forces personnel cordoned off the entire area as they are trying to recover the equipment as well as clear the route.
NH 37 has been completely clogged by the office hours traffic. And people have been advised to take caution.
Although no one including reporters are currently not allowed at the location, it is being reported that the truck belongs to the Indian Air Force and contains explosive materials.
