Trishna Sarma suspended from Bharatiya Janata Party, Assam Pradesh

The former state office secretary of the Kisan Morcha of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Assam Pradesh was removed from her primary membership in the party with immediate effect

GUWAHATI: The former state office secretary of the Kisan Morcha of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Assam Pradesh was removed from her primary membership in the party with immediate effect on Thursday. The order was passed as per the orders of state president Bhabesh Kalita. Earlier, on Wednesday, she was removed from her position in the Kisan Morcha and relieved of all responsibilities in the party by the president of the Kisan Morcha, Debojit Bora.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma recently mentioned that whenever any suicide or murder takes place, it is the duty of the police department to find the facts leading to the incident. He added that it is better to keep quiet when the police are doing their duty, and if he makes any comments, then allegations will be made about him trying to hamper an ongoing investigation. He also mentioned that silence helps everyone in such conditions.
