Two Brothers in Inebriated State Attack Man with Blade in Guwahati's Geetanagar

The two miscreants have been identified as Jinkumani Sharma and Ankur Sharma, both brothers.

GUWAHATI: Two men in an inebriated state attacked a man in Guwahati's Geetanagar area with a blade after the latter prevented the two from creating ruckus in front of his house.

The victim identified as Mujahid Ali was allegedly attacked with a blade by the two in the Geetanagar BSF camp. The two miscreants have been identified as Jinkumani Sharma and Ankur Sharma, both brothers.

The two attacked Mujahid with a blade in a fit of rage following which Mujahid was taken to a private nursing home for treatment.

The police managed to apprehend Ankur Sharma while Jintumani Sharma continues to remain at large.

An investigation has been initiated in the case while the hunt for Jintumani Sharma is underway.

Earlier, a group of Hijras (third gender) allegedly attacked a couple from Lakhimpur in Paltan Bazar, Guwahati last night. Further, seeking help the couple finally had to take support from the Paltan Bazar police station. In a video that has gone viral on the internet, it is seen and heard that the Hijras are rebuking someone else. On the other hand, a woman is heard saying they were physically attacked.
