GUWAHATI: The BJP Assam Pradesh has decided to increase its cadre-base to 60 lakh from its present strength of 40 lakh. Moreover, the party has taken a decision to increase its Organisation Districts to 45 from its present status of 40. This was stated by BJP Dtate president Bhabesh Kalita while delivering the inaugural speech at the two-day BJP Executive body meet at North Guwahati from Wednesday.
Kalita added, "The support base of BJP in the State has increased considerably. The BJP will fight all the upcoming polls. We will win these polls with record votes."
The BJP Executive Body congratulated Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for his good governance. In this regard, the meet especially mentioned the stringent steps taken to check drug-related issues and the culture of middleman.
The CM has been successfully leading Team Assam," added the meet.
Addressing the meet, former CM Sarbananda Sonoiwal lauded the activities of the present CM Himanta Biswa Sarma in various zectors of the society.
Among the dignitaries present during the meet were Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma; and also BJP national vice-president Baijayanti Panda.
