GUWAHATI: The Kamrup (M) District Administration has turned down the request of the Kamrup Chamber of Commerce (KCC) to open shops on both sides of the streets in Guwahati since many of the shops have their godowns on their other side.

Spelling out the order issued on July 18, 2020 the Deputy Commissioner requested all traders to get themselves tested along with their employees, delivery persons and others for COVID-19.
Regarding the opening of shops and business establishments, he said that shops on the right side of streets would remain open on Monday, and those in the left sides of streets on Tuesday.
