GUWAHATI: The UDD (Urban Development Department) of the State appointed the chairmen of nine town development authorities on Thursday against as many vacant posts.
The nine newly appointed chairmen are Tilak Neog for Sonari Development Authority, Mohan Mahanta for Biswanath Chariali Development Authority, Debabrata Saha for Karimganj Development Authority, Pratap Bordoloi for Mangaldai Development Authority, Dipak Nath for Goalpara Development Authority, Akhim Hazarika for Dibrugarh Development Authority, Kajol Gohain for Tinsukia Development Authority, Biraj Nath for Tezpur Development Authority and Samiran Konwar for Lakhimpur Development authority. The appointments have been made under Section 8B(1)(a) of the Assam Town and Country Planning Act, 1959 (as amended).
