GUWAHATI: An exquisitely beautiful song of Rupkonwar Jyotiprasad Agarwala that sprang from the depth of the poet-lyricist-music composer's heart – 'Juire Ki xurLikhijawa…' tuned by eminent music director Ramen Barua was released in the video format on the occasion of the 9th death anniversary of Bharat RatnaDrBhupenHazarika at function in Guwahati.
Like many of Rupkonwar's songs, 'Juire Ki xurLikhijawa..', too, immediately strike with its poetic imagery and melodic contour. Musically arranged by AmarjyotiDeka, the song is beautifully rendered by Rima Goswami and DrAnamikaDeka. The mixing and mastering has been done by Abhijit Barman. The way the singers convey the song's meaning and mood, in perfect harmony, touches the emotional chord of the audience, a press release said.

His work, nothing short of a national treasure, reflected the culture of his time. With a remarkably vast corpus of over 300 songs, most of which were based on folk tunes, absorbed into the fabric of his music, JyotiprasadAgarwala composed a new trend of Assamese musicology namely 'JyotiSangeet'. They record the poet's own experiences and emotions, and are vivid products of the social and political settings in which they were framed.
