GUWAHATI: The week-long observance of Vigilance Awareness Week 2022 concluded at Guwahati Refinery with a host of programmes organized for creating awareness and to sensitize the stakeholders for the adoption and practice of strong vigilant practices for ensuring transparency and accountability in the system.
In the valedictory program organized on Monday, Prof (Dr) Sanjeeb Kakoty, Associate Professor of IIM, Shillong, deliberated on the varied nuances of corruption with relevant examples. While emphasizing the need to enlarge the ambit of vigilance, Prof Kakoty laid stress on internal vigilance as the prize of a democracy. He further shared examples from one's day-to-day lives alongside the learnings from the happenings and the developments taking place all across the world to introspect, analyze so as to develop an approach for envisioning solutions to the threats posing mankind.
On the occasion, a report on the week-long observance was presented by Mridul Shyam, GM (Vigilance). An e-bulletin covering snapshots of all the programs organized during the week-long observance was also released on the occasion by Prof (Dr ) Sanjeeb Kakoty, stated a press release.
