GUWAHATI: In view of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Secretariat Administration Department (SAD) has issued a set of preventive measures to all the departments and establishment offices within the Janata Bhawan till April 30 to contain the spread of coronavirus.
According to an office memorandum issued by the SAD, no visitors will be allowed to enter the Janata Bhawan premises from Tuesday.
Some of the key directions from the office memorandum are as follows –
* The senior-most secretary/head of the Administrative Department will ensure that officers in the rank of Under secretary and above shall attend office to the extent of 100 per cent strength and remaining officers and staff to the extent of 50 per cent.
* Pregnant women and women having children of the age of five years or below irrespective of their grade shall be allowed to work from home but they should be available on telephone and other electronic means of communication at all times.
* Differently abled persons are exempted from attending office if they so desire.
* COVID protocols should be strictly followed in the office premises.
Moreover, to restrict the gathering in the office premises, as a preventive measure, for containment of spread of COVID-19, it has been decided that –
* No visitor passes including ePass/Special Entry pass will be issued till April 30 unless the recommending officer is satisfied that the reason for visiting is of utmost importance.
* The visitors permitted only by the Deputy Secretary, SA (Estt), Department will be allowed inside Janata Bhawan and they may further be required to produce a valid COVID-19 negative certificate at the entry gate.
* ADCP Security, Janata Bhawan shall ensure verification of valid permission and make sure that unauthorized visitors do not enter the Janata Bhawan premises.
