GUWAHATI: "We'll field 30 candidates in the upcoming Assam Legislative Assembly poll. We had talks with the Congress and the regional parties of Assam about alliance but none of the political parties accepted our ideology. Hence we haven't joined any of the alliance," stated Voters Party International (VPI) all India president Babita Sharma Goyal while addressing a press meet here on Saturday.

Moreover, Goyal said if they come to power they will demand for at least Rs 3,000 per month to be paid to each voter of the state. On the issue of unemployment Goyal stated that they had a blueprint for resolving the unemployment problem in Assam.

"The political leaders and industrialists are becoming rich with the money of the public. Now only these two groups will be richer," said Goyal.

The party appealed to the people of Assam to think twice before casting their votes so that they don't have to regret for the next five years.
