Warning to institutions from the Department of Secondary Education

Department of Secondary Education, Assam has said that it will act tough against privincialized/ government higher secondary and senior secondary educational institutions

GUWAHATI: The Department of Secondary Education, Assam has said that it will act tough against privincialized/ government higher secondary and senior secondary educational institutions in the event of charging administration fees, tuition fees and other fees from the students classes XI and XII or their guardians.

In the wake of the outbreak of COVID-19, the department has waived tuition fees, admission fees and other fees, including the cost of prospectus and admission forms etc of classes XI and XII irrespective of their financial condition – APL (above poverty line) or BPL (below poverty line.

The order has been issued by Principal Secretary of the Department of Secondary and Elementary Education department B Kalyan Chakravarthy.
