Webinar on agripreneurship development held in Gauhati University

GUWAHATI: Gauhati University NSS Cell and Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development, Regional Centre, Chandigarh jointly organized a webinar on Agripreneurship Development on Thursday.

Attending as chief guest, Dr. Ranjan Kumar Kakati Director, Students' Welfare & Programme Coordinator, NSS Cell said that agripreneurship had the potential to contribute to a range of social and economic development such as employment generation, income generation, poverty reduction and improvements in nutrition, health and overall food security in the national economy.

Dr. Sandeep Das Professor, Department of Bio-Technology and Dean, Faculty of Science and Technology, Bodoland University attended the webinar as speaker and he enlightened the scope of agripreneurship development in Assam in different sectors. Dr. Sarat Saikia, Chief Agriculture Research Station, Assam Agriculture University, also attended the programme and shared his valuable experience with the participants. The webinar was attended by NSS volunteers of various colleges, postgraduate students of GU with participants from other parts of the country.
