WICCI adds Assam Medical Tourism Council to its fold

GUWAHATI: The Women's Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WICCI) added Assam Medical Tourism Council (AMTC) to its fold at a virtual launch ceremony held on Tuesday. The Assam Medical Tourism Council, led by Dr Plabita Chelleng, a renowned pathologist and assisted by Vice President Minakshi Mishra, comprises twenty-four members from different professional areas. The global president and founder (WICCI), Dr Harbeen Arora, Chief Guest, Dr Rumana Dowla, a renowned doctor from Bangladesh and special invitee Alakananda Das, President India Bangladesh Business council, spoke at the occasion.

A panel discussion on Medical Tourism, a new era in the tourism industry, held on the occasion, was moderated by Dr Nizara Hazarika and Dr Shabnam Akhtar Ahmed. The invited panellists were Dr Jeet Patwari, Anamika Tiwari, Dr Neeraj Jain, and Col. Jiten Hazarika. Assam Medical Tourism Council aims to promote the State's Medical and Tourism potential, stated a release.
