Workshop on Digital Initiatives and Entrepreneurship Development Cell conducted in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: In a bid to spread awareness about the digital ecosystem and encourage new entrepreneurs, a one-day workshop was organized in Guwahati by the Department of School Education and Higher Education, Government of Assam, at the Assam Administrative Staff College on Wednesday.

The education minister of the state, Ranoj Pegu, attended the event entitled 'Workshop on Digital Initiatives and Entrepreneurship Development Cell in Higher Educational Institutions' as the chief guest. Several officials, including vice principals, additional deputy commissioners for the education department, and inspectors of schools, attended the event. The aim of the workshop was to encourage digital initiatives and entrepreneurship development cells in the colleges.

In his speech, the education minister mentioned the growing importance of technology in every sector, including education. He also said that if any roadblock is faced, we should not accept defeat but use modern science and technology to overcome it. He also mentioned the education department for online admission, Tally education, smart classrooms, and online education. The minister added that long-term plans and projects have been implemented to ensure that the students of the state are well-versed in modern technology, especially as a tool for gathering more knowledge in higher educational institutions.
