World Diabetes Day: Free health screening and awareness camp organized in Guwahati

The Faculty of Paramedical Sciences, Faculty of Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation, and Faculty of Pharmaceutical Science at Assam Down Town University, in collaboration with the Out Reach Committee and NSS unit, organized a free health screening and awareness camp

GUWAHATI: The Faculty of Paramedical Sciences, Faculty of Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation, and Faculty of Pharmaceutical Science at Assam Down Town University, in collaboration with the Out Reach Committee and NSS unit, organized a free health screening and awareness camp recently at Panikhaiti Anchalik Yuva Sangha, Guwahati, on the occasion of forthcoming World Diabetes Day.

The health camp was rendered by the team, which was comprised of Dr. Subha Das and Dr. Sonali Pradhan from Down Town Hospital, Dispur, along with the faculty members and students of the paramedical, physiotherapy, pharmaceutical, food, and nutrition programmes, as well as the members of the Out Reach Committee and the NSS unit of Assam Down Town University.

The Health Camp was inaugurated in the presence of Sanjay Dey, General Secretary, and Sanjay Banik, Treasurer Panikhaiti Anchalik Yuva Sangha, Guwahati, along with Dr. Saikat Sen, Dean Faculty of Pharmaceutical Science, and Dr. Abhijit Dutta, Dean Faculty of Paramedical Sciences.

There were around 90 beneficiaries and participants from in and around the area of Panikhaiti who were screened for blood pressure, blood glucose level, eye checkups, physiotherapy consultations, and to promote awareness about a balanced nutrition diet, stated a press release.
